Privacy and Personal-Data Processing Policy

Learn how Punto Nomada collects, uses, protects and retains personal data related to your orders.
Version:1.0Effective date:2026-07-12

01Controller and contact

Punto Nomada is responsible for processing the personal data collected through this store for the purposes described in this policy.

The channel for inquiries, complaints, updates, corrections, proof of authorization, withdrawal of authorization or deletion where legally possible is support.puntonomada@gmail.com. Include your name, the information needed to verify your request and a clear description.

02Data we may collect

  • Name, email, phone, country, state or region, city and delivery address.
  • Order details, products, variants, total, payment status, transaction identifiers and tracking data.
  • Messages and data you send through the support channel.
  • IP address, user agent, language and technical data needed for security, operation and fraud prevention.
  • Anonymous browsing data such as public pages visited, browser, device, language, country of origin and referring site, collected with Umami for usage statistics. We do not send Umami names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, payment data or order identifiers.
  • Data stored locally in the browser for the cart, delivery country and language preference.

We do not receive or store your complete card credentials. Financial information is processed directly by Wompi or PayPal according to the selected payment method.

03Purposes of processing

  • Receive and manage orders, calculate the total and coordinate shipping.
  • Create, confirm and reconcile payments, manage refunds and prevent fraudulent transactions.
  • Prepare orders, request dispatch, check statuses and display tracking information.
  • Send confirmations and communications strictly related to the transaction.
  • Measure aggregated use of public pages and improve the store's performance and experience through Umami.
  • Handle requests, warranties, changes, cancellations, inquiries and complaints.
  • Comply with legal, accounting, tax, judicial and platform-security obligations.

We do not use this data for behavioral advertising, commercial profiling or selling information. Umami analytics is limited to anonymous statistics about public pages.

04Authorization and principles

When you place an order, we request prior, express and informed authorization separately from acceptance of the Terms and Conditions. We store the policy version, date and available technical information as consultable evidence.

Answering questions about sensitive data or minors is optional. We do not normally request sensitive data as part of a purchase and the store is not directed at minors.

05Services and international information

To operate the store, we may share strictly necessary data with hosting and database services, Wompi, PayPal, Resend and preparation, fulfillment and logistics partners selected for the order. Each service receives only the information needed for its function.

Some services may be located outside Colombia. When international transfer or transmission is necessary, we will apply the safeguards and conditions required by applicable law and our agreements with processors.

06Payments and communications

Payment status and necessary identifiers may be received from Wompi or PayPal to confirm the order, prevent duplicates, update its status and manage refunds. Confirmation email is transactional and is not a marketing subscription.

07Necessary storage

The store uses browser local storage to preserve the cart, delivery country and language preference. It also uses strictly necessary cookies for the administrative session and private order access. Umami does not use tracking cookies, and we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

08Retention and deletion

  • Orders and payment records are retained as needed to meet accounting, tax and consumer obligations, resolve claims and establish or defend legal rights.
  • Support requests are retained while the case is handled and afterwards for the period reasonably needed to document the response and address obligations or claims.
  • Technical and security logs are retained for a limited period proportionate to preventing, investigating and responding to incidents.
  • Checkout attempts that do not create an order do not become permanent consent records; transient data is removed according to the service's technical operation.

09Rights and procedure

  • Know, update and correct your data.
  • Request information about how your data was used and proof of the authorization given.
  • Withdraw authorization or request deletion where legally applicable.
  • File a complaint with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce after completing the applicable process with the store.

Send your inquiry or complaint to support.puntonomada@gmail.com with your identification, contact details, description of the request and supporting documents. We may request additional information to verify your identity. Inquiries and complaints will be handled within applicable legal deadlines.

10Security and minors

We apply reasonable technical, human and administrative measures: access controls, server-side validation, session protection, lookup throttling, payment verification, webhook signatures and minimization of displayed information. No Internet-connected system can guarantee zero risk.

The store is not directed at children or teenagers. If you believe a minor provided us with personal data, contact us so we can review the situation and take appropriate measures.

11Changes and effective date

We may update this policy when the store, services, purposes or regulations change. We will publish the current version, its effective date and the relevant contact channel. The current version is 1.0, effective from 2026-07-12.
